چکیده
Phenotypic and genotypic diversity is essential needs more enhancement in different ways to achieve higher productivity better quality vegetables. The presented research aimed study the phenotypic characteristics determine genetic of F1 populations compared with colchicine mutant variants Mercy cultivar cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), held from March May 2019 at experimental field Department Agrotechnology, Islamic University Riau, Pekanbaru, Indonesia. A total number 144 studied plants comprised 72 each two plant groups. data recorded on various parameters attained statistical analysis using paired T-test a significant P < 0.05. Comparisons between both groups included karyotypes chromosome shapes, idiograms, sequencing. results revealed that, average, taller came (93.49 cm), followed by mutants same (67.83 cm). hybrids showed early flowering (29.00 days) colchicine-treated (33.31 days). However, fruits fruit weight were (9.39 1055.39 g), populations. have chromosomes, especially arm size. An idiogram also exhibited differences length groups, while primers trnL-F trnL-R target sequences DNA sequence length. Using seeds demonstrates change character increase production. polyploidy did not occur, alterations measured arms. As result, future increased concentrations imperative obtain chromosomal mutations.

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)
Knowing the extent and structure of genetic variation in germplasm collections is essential for the conservation and utilization of biodiversity in cultivated plants. Cucumber is the fourth most important vegetable crop worldwide and is a model system for other Cucurbitaceae, a family that also includes melon, watermelon, pumpkin and squash. Previous isozyme studies revealed a low genetic diver...
متن کاملAssessment of genetic variation in cucumber ( Cucumis sativus L . ) genotypes
In this research, twenty genotypes of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) were studied that were collected from different geographical regions. The experiment was conducted as a randomized complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications in Greenhouse. Data was collected on morphological features, yield and components of yield of cucumber which include: Total fruit yield per pickling, Fruit number pe...
متن کاملGenetic Analysis and QTL Mapping of Fruit Peduncle Length in Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)
Mechanized harvesting of cucumbers offers significant advantages compared to manual labor as both shortages and costs of labor increase. However the efficient use of machines depends on breeding plants with longer peduncles, but the genetic and molecular basis of fruit peduncle development in cucumber is not well understood. In this study, F2 populations were developed from a cross between two ...

Ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) is a stable and effective chemical mutagen. In this study, cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. “Shannong No. 5”) seeds were treated by 1% EMS for 12 h, 24 h and 48 h to optimize EMS mutagenesis and determined median lethal dose of EMS (1% EMS and 24 h) for “Shannong No. 5”. After treated by 1% EMS for 24 h, 541 M1 plants were grown in greenhouse for phenotype investiga...
متن کاملPolymorphom of sexually different cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) NIL lines.
Isolations of polymorphic sequences of two pairs of the NIL lines of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), which differ with respect to sex, were carried out using the subtraction hybridization methods of DSC (Differential Subtraction Chain) and GDDSC (Genetically Directed DSC). 266 DSC tags were isolated from the entire genome region, and 38 GDDSC tags were isolated from the region containing the sex...
